Variety: Pinot Grigio
Region: Mendocino, CA
Country: United States
Vintage: 2021
Price: $6.99
My Review:
Aromas of banana and apple as well as honey. Semi dry on the tongue with flavors of apple a little bit of saltiness and slightly earthy making this not my favorite pinot grigio but definitely interesting.
Wine Folly:
The white peach and cantaloupe similarly give the banana notes I got. The salty flavor I got may also be indicative of nutty flavors common in Pinot Grigio. (Wine Folly pg. 149)
Additional Tasting Notes
Reversewinesnob.com:
"Aromas of white peach, key lime and orange blossom combine with crisp acidity, subtle pear notes and a whisper of melon. Pairs well with appetizers or salads – anything that is light and refreshing. Best served chilled." (Elementalist Pinot Grigio – Super Tasty For $7 • Reverse Wine Snob)
I get the subtle pear and melon flavors and can see this pairing well with a light salad due to the mild flavor and semi-dryness.
