My Review:
Mild dark fruit on the nose, specifically cherry, plum and fig. This wine is also slightly earthy. Mostly dry with high tannins and somewhat high acidity. Flavors of plum, and light oak but overall, not too complex.
Wine Folly:
Shiraz being the main variety in this red blend provides a nice plum flavor and a darker blueberry flavor that I was able to pick up. (Wine Folly pg. 172) The Merlot also exhibits flavors of cherry and plum which is likely why those were the prominent flavors/aromas I picked up. (Wine Folly pg. 131)
Additional Tasting Notes
Tastings.com:
"Garnet black color. Aromas of ripe raspberries, fig bar, orange marmalade, and hints of mint with a slightly chewy, bright, medium body and a smooth, swift chocolate and ginger finish with a suggestion of oak flavor. A solid Red quaffer for weeknight indulgences." (CK Mondavi NV Red Blend California USA Wine Review | Tastings)
I tasted the fig and oak but I'm not sure if I agree with their description of smooth on the finish.
